Append-It is a powerful automation tool within Lender
Toolkit’s Toolshed that streamlines the process of updating loans. Instead of
manually opening and editing each loan, Append-It allows users to batch update
loan fields, borrower or business contact data, and post-closing conditions
using templates and source files.

Prerequisite
Before using Append-It, ensure the following requirements
are met:
- The Encompass® SDK is installed and activated
on the workstation
- The SDK version matches the Encompass® version
in use
Activation
To turn this tool on:
- Log in to Encompass® as a Super Admin.
- Open LTK PowerTools™ from the Encompass® menu.
Confirm the license includes Enterprise Tier.
- Click Settings > PowerTools™
Enterprise tab.
- Download Append-It by clicking Download.
- Follow installation prompts and allow any
antivirus permissions.
Using Append-It
After installation, Append-It can be launched from the PowerTools™
Dashboard. Select PowerTools™ Enterprise from the left navigation
bar, then click Append-It.
A login screen will appear. Log in to proceed.
The Server must be entered in the following format:
https://BExxxx.ea.elliemae.net$BExxxx

https://TEBExxxx.ea.elliemae.net$TEBExxxx
Templates
After logging in, navigate to the Templates tab to
create or customize templates.
Click New to open the Template Setup window.
On the right side of the form, the Import To option
supports the following selections:
- Loan– Appends data to loan fields and post-closing conditions
- Borrower
Contact– Appends data to borrower contact
records
- Business
Contact– Appends data to business contact
records
Based on the selected option, the template configuration
adjusts automatically. Loan templates include an additional Filters tab
for defining conditional logic.
All templates include the following components:
- Field
Map – Defines how fields from the source file map to
Encompass®. At least one identifier field (such as Loan Number) is
required.
- Source
Files – Specifies source file locations, post-processing
actions, and whether loan calculations should be triggered after updates.
Automation
This tab is used to run the automation.
After the Template has been selected that should be
run, to run on a schedule, select Timer Setup and complete the necessary
fields.
Click Save then click Start.
To run manually at any time, click Run Once.
Logs
Logs are available on this tab to review for success and
failures.
