What Is It
The Activity Log tool in Lender Toolkit’s Toolshed is designed to help
users track and review loan activity specifically when loans are opened or
closed. It displays key details such as User ID, IP Address, Computer Name, and
Loan Folder. This tool is especially useful for Encompass® Administrators who
need to monitor loan access for security and compliance.
Benefits
With the Activity Log, administrators gain visibility into loan access
patterns, helping to strengthen system security and ensure compliance. The tool
provides detailed tracking information that can be used for audits,
troubleshooting, and custom reporting.
How to Use
Inside Input Form Builder, you can download log files using the CDO
Management Tool. Logs are created quarterly and follow a consistent naming
format. Manual log file inspection
reveals the Loan GUID, which can be used for custom tracking or SDK-based data
extraction.
Getting Started / Activation
- Check Your License: Ensure your organization has
the Expert tier license (or higher) for Toolshed.
- Enable the Tool: Open the Toolshed Plugin and
click “Settings.” Next, click on the PowerTools™ Expert tab. Locate the Activity Log and click “On”.
Important Update (Effective 08/04/2022)
- Older log files named ActivityLog_yyyy_mm_dd will
be archived to a folder called _ActivityLog_Archive_ the first time a Super
Admin logs in (this occurs only once).

- Do not delete the archive file unless it has been backed
up. Deleting it will permanently remove the stored records.
- New logs will be created quarterly moving forward.
