To enable debug mode:
- Backup your registry (optional, but if you are a computer novice, this is highly recommended). See instructions below.
- Open Registry Editor (Click start and type "regedit")
- In the left hand navigation, expand the folders to the following location: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ellie Mae\Encompass
- On the right hand side, if there is an item called "Debug", double click it and set the "Value data" field to 1. If there is not an item called "Debug", right click the right hand column where all the items are but right click in the blank white area so the context menu pops up and choose "New->String Value". An item will appear, rename it "Debug". Once the name is set, right click the item and choose "Modify". Set the "Value data" field to 1.
- Close the registry editor. You are now in debug mode in Encompass. (Note: this will slow Encompass down immensely ONLY on the machine you do this on so only enable it when needed)
To disable debug mode:

- In the left hand navigation, expand the folders to the following location: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ellie Mae\Encompass
